In 2007, Laura Loew could not find a specialist to hire for a smoking cessation program she helped implement at Medina Hospital’s Occupational Health Clinic. That’s when she decided to get qualified for the job herself. Loew is now a certified tobacco treatment specialist and president of Smash the Ash, a company that specializes in workplace tobacco cessation.
